Medical Emergency Checklist for Seniors

A tree fell on Leila’s house trapping her in the bedroom under insulation and sheetrock. Fortunately her grandson was visiting from out of state and heard the noise at 5:00 a.m. Things would have been much worse if her grandson had not been there and heard the noise.

Anything can happen to anyone on any given day – some intentional and often accidental.

The Atlanta Journal reported that Leila was taken to the Grady Memorial Hospital to be treated for minor injuries on her eye and a little swelling. Her grandson said,

Taking The Worry Out of What IF There Is An Emergency?

 

Grandma Doris fell after stepping on a bunch of grapes on the floor while trying to grab a bag of salad from the shelf. Not only was she embarrassed and in pain but no one had witnessed her fall. Fortunately a worker from the meat department saw grandma on the floor and called the store manager immediately. Grandma was bruised, had a swollen knee and was feeling dizzy.

Things could have been worse if Grandma had been unconscious and needed medical attention immediately.
